September Featured Yarn – Adorn Luxe

SEPT17FeaturedYarn

Three Irish Girls’ Adorn Luxe is a yarn that demands to be seen! With a color palette that ranges from demure to wild, we think this luxurious yarn deserves a little time in the featured spotlight. The Merino / Nylon blend makes it ideal for long-lasting yet soft socks but is also a wonderful garment yarn. Many of TIG’s colorways are extremely popular and hard to snag, including our exclusive holiday candy themed Mini-Skein Sets. Here are our favorite pattern suggestions for Adorn Luxe!

Boxes and Buds shrugBoxes & Buds Shrug by Denise Voie de Vie is a splendid crochet shrug with the most interesting rectangular lace design. This shrug is graded in 3 sizes and, at most, requires 3 skeins of Adorn Luxe.

The sizing is as follows:
Sm/med (lg/xlg, 2x/3xlg)
Width across back: 20 (28, 36)” or
(51 [71, 91 ½] cm)
Length: 30” (76 cm)

We would suggest a more solid colorway for this pattern so you won’t lose any of the detail in the lace pattern. So, choose a color like Cindy Lou Who or Hydrangea and get ready to have a new favorite garment!

The Sky You Love

The Sky You Love by Casapinka is a very simple pattern that will show off some of Three Irish Girl’s highly variegated colorways. If you were able to grab a skein of Space Oddity, this is the perfect pattern to pair it with a neutral and go to town! The scalloped edging is optional so, if you are looking for a more everyday look, just omit that portion and bind off. You could even continue on to make a larger shawl but the sample shown here measures 15” deep by 90” along bottom border.

Sketch It

If you love a little bit of texture to keep your knitting exciting, try Sketch It Cowl by Aimee Pelletier. This cowl was inspired by graphic novels so it has 5 panels, each with a different texture. The best things about this cowl? It’s a free pattern and one of the many lovely single-skein projects that we all adore!
